Yes Primary Purpose The primary purpose of the Operations Director is to oversee the safe and efficient operation of all attractions while the farm is open to the public as well as preparation that goes into opening.
The Operations Director will be responsible for the development and success of the operation and its direct staff.
This position will also be directly responsible for the Attractions, Sanitation, Security/EMT, and Parking departments.
Responsibilities Provide strong leadership in the selection, development, coaching, and retention of the Operations Department team members.
Continually strive to create and maintain a positive culture within the Operations Department.
Implement proper recruiting techniques.
Oversee hiring process for the Operations department.
Organize and implement proper training techniques.
Organize and Implement an Employee Orientation prior to each season.
Work with other directors to plan and prepare for future season operations.
Ensure that proper signage is prepared and put in the proper place in a timely manner.
Oversee the inspection and safety of each attraction in the operations department.
Be the Communication Champion by relaying important information from executive leadership to the appropriate Operations Department staff.
Adhere to all budgets ensuring the event is operated at, or below the approved expense budget.
Any variances to the approved budget must be approved by Executive Leadership.
Assist in the creation of the operations department expense budget.
Ensure all scheduling is completed per the approved budget.
Ensure all schedules are completed and posted for the teams in a timely fashion.
Ensure all weekly time records are approved by the appropriate day.
Assist the Director of Business Administration collecting all necessary employee documents.
Ensure all team members are consistently operating their areas in a Safety First and Foremost manner.
Project an Always Accessible image to team members as well as project great listening skills to the team.
Work closely with F&B Director to ensure proper inventory of necessary supplies.

Work closely with the Director of Business Administration to ensure efficient office operation.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Three years of experience in an attraction or event related business is preferred.
Must possess great communication skills and be able to speak to the team in a way that the message can be understood and comprehended easily.
Strong decision-making skills are required.
Prior experience with budgets is preferred but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
Must have open availability and be able to work holidays.
This position requires the ability to take direction from Executive Leadership and transfer the direction into actionable actions for the team.
The position requires a desire to ensure that the guest experience is always top of mind and that guest satisfaction is always a top priority when leading the team.
Must have the ability to work in an outdoor environment in cold or hot weather and be able to tolerate precipitation.
