A Water Utility Worker installs, maintains, operates, replaces, and repairs water mains, services, fire hydrants, water meters, and appurtenant valves and equipment.
Certified Waste Water Operator Responsibilities Maintains and installs water mains and fire hydrants.
Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
Keep records of work assignments.
Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, pre-assembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.
Certified Waste Water Operator Requirements Experience Level:
Highly Skilled Plumbing/Irrigation experience strongly preferred.
Should have general knowledge of working with hand tools.
Previous certifications preferred Replacing residential water meters Complete work to specifications Possess reasonable computer skills Ability to use a handheld device Certified Waste Water Operator Benefits Pay Rate:
