Summary:
The Patient Access Team Lead will be tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of the Patient Access department.
The Team Lead will also assist with planning, developing, and implementing workflows, initiatives, projects that maintains and improves the Patient Access experience.
The Team Lead will work with multiple departments within the organization to ensure that quality care is being provided to patients.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Oversees the Patient Access staff members, assist with department audits, trainings and new hire onboarding.
Manage staff schedules, covering all positions as needed.
Conduct individual staff meetings encouraging personal development.
Completes site visits to multiple locations.
Mange office supply inventory for multiple locations.
First point of contact for patient concerns.
Maintain knowledge and expertise in Patient Access including scheduling, outreach & eligibility, front office.
Participate in outreach events to promote the availability of health coverage programs and services, encouraging consumer enrollment and participation.
Responsible for utilizing data to identify areas of growth in the Patient Access department.
Identify and build relationships with potential partners and target audiences.
Ensure staff are utilizing protocol to protect and secure consumer's personal, confidential, and identifiable information in a professional and responsible manner.
Demonstrate and maintain the standards and requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Provide updates from monthly conference calls, webinars and other meeting to team members.
Comply with all company and program policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Participate in other job-related trainings, programs and use of new technologies.
Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree or a minimum of two years related work experience preferred.
SKILLS AND PREFERRED
Experience:
REQUIRED:
Two years of experience working in healthcare setting.
Two years of customer service experience.
Working knowledge of the Texas Medicaid program and CHIP program preferred.
Ability to present information and programs and basic public speaking.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Must be a team player, flexible and willing to fill in where needed.
Ability to work effectively and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of and ability to work and engage with those of all socioeconomic levels.
